M5-GitHub & Business Activation Guide
This role helps a member activate her M5Bank/Freedom Office, understand where her software comes from, keep it current, review permissions and confidently choose credentialed M5-OpenAPI tools for her own business operating environment.
Three capability domains
Understand how a small business actually works.
Accounts, invoicing, bookkeeping, customers, payments, documents, operations, marketing and basic entity boundaries.
Teach GitHub concepts without turning it into a coding class.
Official source, releases, versions, docs, updates, security notices, Discussions, issue reporting and the contributor path.
Help the member assemble her own stack.
Compare M5-OpenAPI providers, permissions, data handling, compatibility and revocation before connecting services.
Required demonstrated capabilities
Proof-based assessment
Set up a sanitized reference member.
Demonstrate IAM, Freedom Office, Passport and personal/business agent setup without exposing secrets.
Explain one GitHub release to a beginner.
Show official source, version, release notes, update decision and where to get help in plain language.
Build a sample business stack.
Compare providers, document permission scopes, connect one tool and demonstrate revoke/export.
Create a reusable SOP.
Capture action, purpose, permission, expected result and recovery path using sanitized test data.
Recognize unsafe requests.
Never request seed phrases, recovery codes, raw passwords or unnecessary private business information.
Know when the Guide stops.
Route bugs, code changes, security incidents, legal/tax/accounting questions and platform engineering to qualified specialists.
Credential progression
The Guide role can be reused by employers, community programs and M5-OpenAPI partners that need people who can help nontechnical teams safely adopt open tools and AI-enabled business systems.
What this role is not
The Guide does not replace the GitHub Platform / DevOps engineering function.
The Guide helps a member compare providers; the member chooses the service.
The Guide never takes custody of member keys, credentials, passwords or sovereign decision authority.
